Performance Specifications #

For those project, or specific parts of your project, which is to be designed, documented and constructed by the builder or contractor, an appropriate performance specification for their detail design is provided.

Design & Documentation #

Provide a full design and documentation, drawings and specifications, coordinated with other disciplines on your project for construction by the builder or contractor.

Proof Engineering #

Carry out a review and proof engineering of the structure’s documentation for construction produced by your designer for compliance with your performance specification and industry requirements.

Strength & Serviceability #

These criteria are an essential part of all structural designs and Zenith is facilitated to ensure compliance with the respective Australian Standards; and the requirements of the Building Code of Australia.

Durability #

Durability is usually achieved by compliance with a prescribed Australian Standard where it is relevant. There is the opportunity for incorporating performance compliance from other resources for specific structures, particularly those in industrial and marine environments.

Where it is determined appropriate, a performance design and test procedure is specified.

Constructability & Safety #

Zenith’s designs are detailed to facilitate controlled construction of the structure and minimising risk of injury. As appropriate a detailed sequence of construction will be documented on the drawings either verbally or diagrams, or a combination.

Cost Effective #

Zenith’s designs are carried out in consultation with the client, where several options may be considered, to minimise cost without compromising the strength, serviceability and performance of the structure.

Reinforced & Prestressed Concrete #

Zenith has extensive expertise and capability in the design of concrete structures in a wide range on environments and structures including analysis and design software to AS 3600, AS/NZS 5100 and related Australian Standards.

Steel Design #

Zenith has extensive expertise and capability in the design of steel structures in a wide range on environments and structures including analysis and design software to AS 4100, AS/NZS 5100 and related Australian Standards

Timber Design #

Zenith has extensive expertise and capability in the design of timber structures in a wide range on environments and structures including analysis and design software to AS 1720 and other Australian Standards

Construction Drawings & CAD #

The construction drawings define the structure’s geometry (cross referenced to other discipline drawings as appropriate) and the structural element dimensions and details to enable the builder, or contractor, to set out the structural elements with the specified materials.

Construction Specifications #

The specifications complement the design drawings and define the material properties, construction methods relevant to safety and durability, and inspection and acceptance procedures.
